Barbara Wood is a retired teacher who spent thirty-three years teaching first grade at School 18 in Troy, New York. She enjoys reading, designing, exploring different avenues of creativity, volunteering, and trying new adventures. She has been involved with writing and the arts since she was a child. Originally from Long Island, she came to Troy to attend Russell Sage College for her BS and MS in education. After she began teaching, she raised her family and put down roots in the city she now calls home.
