Store Policies and Payment

In-Store Payment Types

Our stores accept most major credit cards, checks (with proper ID), travelers checks, store gift cards, and of course cash.

Stores charge 8% sales tax as required by local regulations. If you represent a tax exempt entity, you must present proof of such at the time of purchase.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are available through all stores, and may be redeemed at any time at any location (gift card must be present at time of purchase) Paid gift cards do not expire. The card purchaser is eligible for credit on their BBC, however the card recipient is not.

Shipping

Many orders can be shipped directly to customers for an additional fee. Orders can be placed over the phone if paid in full with a valid credit card. Please inquire by phone or in-store for more information.
 

Pro Bono Gift Certificates and Donations

Charitable organizations may contact an individual store manager to discuss possible donations of gift certificates. Generally speaking we require a letter (on the charity's letterhead) explaining the request, the event, and any information you can give us on your organization. Most donated certificates will have an expiration date clearly printed on them. Please contact only one of our managers with your request.

Returns

Most books are subject to a 30 day return policy. With a receipt you may return a title for money back in the original form of payment. After 30 days, or without a receipt, titles may be returned for store credit only.

If you paid by check, the store must receive confirmation that the check has cleared before you may return the item for cash. Study guides are subject to a special 24 hour return policy, and must be in original condition. Audio books must be in original, unopened condition.
